Which study material is best for Abdomen — MUT, URR, or Penny?

For Abdomen, the three materials candidates ask about most are MUT (My Ultrasound Tutor), URR, and the Penny book. They do differ — in structure, depth, and how the material is presented — but none of those differences is decisive enough to make or break your exam result on its own. Whichever one you pick, the actual content you need to learn is largely the same, since abdominal ultrasound concepts don't change depending on which book teaches them.

URR/Penny are thin on Breast and small parts — where else should I look?

For exams with a broad content scope, no single material can cover everything in real depth, and the topics most likely to be thin are usually the ones that carry less exam weight. When you hit a gap like that in URR or Penny for Breast/small parts, the better move isn't buying yet another paid resource — it's using AI tools (ChatGPT, Gemini, and similar) to look up exactly that missing piece yourself.

Is MUT alone enough, or do I need URR too?

Using just MUT or just URR is enough — you don't need both. If you already have MUT, there's no need to also buy URR (or vice versa). What matters isn't how many resources you go through — it's making the one you have genuinely your own.

What's an efficient way to practice image interpretation for Abdomen?

For Abdomen, ultrasoundcases.info (https://www.ultrasoundcases.info/) covers essentially every image you'd need for exam prep. The training that actually matters is repeated exposure: even a quick, imperfect look at an ultrasound image tends to stick in memory, and each image only takes a moment to view.

Prepry is said to be similar to the real exam — can I use it instead of Penny book?

See "Prepry vs URR for SPI" and "Does the real SPI exam look like Penny book / URR questions, or completely different?" for the full reasoning: ARDMS doesn't designate an official textbook, so every resource — Prepry, Penny, or anything else — is a prediction, not a guaranteed match. There's no way to know in advance whether Prepry or Penny book is actually closer to the real thing.
