Retaking for the 2nd/3rd time — same material again, or switch?
Failing two or three times usually points to something more fundamental than which book you're using: most people can't clearly say what they know versus what they don't. If that had been sorted out after your first attempt, you'd likely have passed by now. Switching materials at this point doesn't fix that gap. Before anything else, diagnose yourself: go through the ARDMS content outline topic by topic and check, honestly, whether the related content actually comes to mind or not.
General · After Failing
I keep failing and my confidence is gone — how should I get my head right before retaking?
Confidence comes from closing your gaps, not from forcing yourself to feel it. Know why you failed, and go in with a plan to find out exactly what you don't know.
